the little guy in the big pond

Have you ever heard of Youth Specialties? Not being in "youth ministry" it was a new organization to us. Every year, this San Diego based group, hosts conventions for those working with youth in the church. It's an interdenominational organization so their conventions bring in speakers and exhibitors ranging from really conservative to quite liberal. This year we paid the fees, set up our little booth, and visited with hundreds of youth pastors and other exhibitors from all around the States. It was a good opportunity to spread the word about BBS and learn more about other ministries serving in Baja California as well (ex: Mexican Medical, Ventana Ministries). And connect with those who also have a heart for the world (ex: International Justice Mission, Invisible Children).
