We meet with our Spanish teacher Mon-Fri, 9-12 leaving the rest of the day and weekends to study or explore. Yesterday we took a "colectiva" (bus) just 20min away to Sumidero Canyon. At it's peak, the walls are 1 kilometer (3,280 ft) high . In the 2 hr boat ride, we saw a variety of birds, waterfalls, and even crocodiles. One of our favorite spots was a waterfall called Arbol Navidad (Christmas Tree) because of the formation of the minerals beneath the fall.
