Why would 8 buses, 2 rental trucks and several passenger vehicles cross the border into Tijuana for a week?

Because every 3 years Caravan ministries hosts several Baptist youth groups from Washington, Northern CA, and Canada for a week of housebuilding and teaching on global missions.

This year Baja Bible staff got to help out the Caravan staff with building, spending time with students, and other random stuff. It was awesome to be a part of these highschool's experience in TJ and talk with some about this new school starting in TJ. We had a booth up all week and Ryan was able to share briefly about BBS in a morning teaching session.

The house in the forefront is the type of house that Caravan builds. Students broke up into teams of 10-15 and spent two days building a house. This was a great way for them to get to know the families and spend time with them (Mexico is about people over tasks!).

And this is what happens when you drive buses in Tijuana! (The rutted dirt roads aren't very forgiving).
