Main Floor

...for the first few years this floor will house our classes at Baja Bible (the stairway leads to the future library and prayer room)...
...two years ago....
...the graffiti was result of years of being abandoned...
...but thanks to Paul Baughn & John Guppy, the walls received fresh plaster...
...and this is how things looked one week ago...
...transformation began with a fresh coat of paint with the much needed help of Steph's sister, Melissa, and friend, Katy Johnson...

...then Val and Deb began their work with 5 colors of glaze....
...and lots of blending and "pouncing" (that's what she called it)...

...then Shirley came in with her marbling technique on all the pillars...
...and more glazing to create the look of clouds on the ceiling...
...and this is the result...

Val first came to the Castillo last August and felt drawn back as soon as she saw the potential in the architecture. She returned with four friends and together they completed the vision she had months ago. We are so grateful for this blessing and her months of preparation and faithful perserverance.
