February Happenings

Dan and Lyndsay are on the road again.  They've been speaking to youth groups, private schools, and meeting with individuals through California, Oregon, and are currently in Washington.  Please pray for this to be a fruitful trip with student interest & for health as they travel the rest of this month.  (The photo below was taken at a retro party this fall--they don't always look like they're going to prom).

While they're on the road, the rest of the staff has been preparing for March's events: Ecola Bible School's Mexico Missions team and two Baja Bible Experience Weeks.  If any of you are interested in a sneak peak of our program, check out the link above and consider coming down this March.

The rumors are true...in June we will be welcoming the littlest member of the Baja Bible School team. We're having a baby!  It's been a joy to share this new time in life living in community and we look forward to what our Father has in store for us as parents.  We'd love your prayers for continued health, wisdom in the decisions ahead, and continued language learning as we navigate the medical system in Tijuana.

The last few months have generated concern and questions about the escalated violence in Tijuana. It is true that the battle rages on between police and cartel members fighting for drug routes into the US.  We have been protected thus far.  Foreigners and ministries are not a target for the violence but what we and many ministries do feel is fear from the church in the States. There are a lot less laborers coming to serve in Tijuana. Since last summer we've had a few work groups cancel, so we continue to pray for workers to come and trust in the Lord's protection.  Ryan wrote this informational letter to those with concerns about visiting the city. Please pray with us for peace in Tijuana and for righteousness to prevail.
