Out of the City

Change can be good. Stepping outside of a busy, smoggy, loud city is one of those good changes. Last weekend we accompanied our students to Porvenir, a small town in Guadalupe Valley--a valley near Ensenada known for its vineyards. This unique location is where our friends at Ventana Ministries live. Immediately the smell of fresh air was noticeable and that night we enjoyed seeing stars in the sky instead of city lights stretching over the hills. Not only did we get to enjoy a change of scenery, we were able to catch up with the Ventaneros (Connor, Daniel, Elizabeth, & Rachel) that had joined us the first 5 weeks of Baja Bible school. Students also participated in a youth rally that was held in the local church.

one of my favorite types of advertisement in mexico: paint it how it is. if it's carnitas that you sell, paint a pig in the pot and one along the fence that luckily escaped!
