New & Beautiful Things

We're back at blogging after taking some "maternity leave." Over the last several weeks there have been some wonderful changes and additions to the campus that we'd like to share with you.

First of all, the birth of our daughter, Elena Laura, on June 12. She was warmly welcomed by staff the day after her delivery (she was born at a hospital here in Tijuana). She is a calm little girl--unless she's hungry--and we are adjusting to a very new way of life. We would love your prayers as you think of us.
We have a great summer staff that have been working to finish the upstairs of the dorms. Each room is creative and unique--especially the bathrooms. You can see from the photos below that each sink reflects the creativity of the person working on them.
Kim worked on this sink; all the accent pieces she dug up from around campus
Bethany (below) is getting just the right layout for her sink--the fun part is smashing the tiles
Landscaping on campus has also been new and ever changing. A few of the staff recently put in a vegetable garden. And Dan has been faithfully working on the path and planting.

Finally, a update on student enrollment. We praise the Lord for 5 accepted students. Please join us as we pray for 12 students to start us off this September 14.
