Hosting Groups

One of the privileges of being part of a new ministry is partnering with other churches and individuals who share their resources and laborers to help us finish construction of the campus of Baja Bible School. Ecola Bible School came last month and this month we had 10 Juniors/Seniors from Riverpark Bible Church in Fresno, CA. Here are a few pictures of what our week was like:


We start each morning with a guest speaker. The purpose of this is to expose and encourage students in God's heart for the world and hear from missionaries who have given their lives to service.



The guys offered hours upon hours of digging in not just regular soil but ROCKY soil (as you can see from the picture) in order to build a retaining wall in front of our dorms. Some also enjoyed demolishing a wall in our future offices and then textured and primed the new walls.



The girls spent three days painting Oscar's house. Three days sounds like a lot to paint such a small home but if you look closely you'll notice the sides and back of the house do not have easy access. They were very creative and diligent in the task at hand!



One of the best things about hosting work groups is the opportunity to serve in the community. This week we were blessed to serve our friend, Pablo and his family by repairing a leaky roof and painting their house. Pablo is a Believer and expressed to Ryan that he knew God would provide for them but didn't realize it would be so soon. He and his wife served us a meal and later commented that they were so blessed we stayed to eat with them!


It's a little hard to see this picture but it's taken from the front porch of the Castillo with the city lights in the background. During the middle of the week, the rest of Riverpark's group (who were serving at Caravan Ministries)--75 in total--came over for dinner and to hear about Baja Bible. What could be better than going to a youthgroup? Having one come to us! It was awesome to see the porch filled with young people and hear our Lord's name be praised in song.
